ALTA is a nomadic live fire dining experience, specializing in bespoke wine country events. Rooted in primal cooking methods with a respect for modern sensibilities and timeless hospitality we marry ancestral cooking, fine dining, and stunning locales. We promote the idea of California Cuisine and its evolution, with respect to its past.
ALTA as a prism; absorbing the light that is the bounty of a region and reflecting it on our guests through thoughtful dining and storytelling. We conceive our guests as co-producers of this virtuous chain. With this ethos as our foundation, we believe to have the ability to pause time, beg presence, and encourage connection at the table we hold sacred.
Our Services: Although the majority of our events are winery partnerships, we also offer our services to private parties and corporate groups as well as brand partnerships, guided excursions, and educational experiences.
California and Beyond: Our compass is California; the seasonal ingredients and those that farm it, the world class wines, its rugged history, array of influences, and breathtaking landscapes. Although we’re based in Napa, ALTA often hits the road, nationally and globally, sharing the California love.
Chef kevin o’connor
Kevin O’Connor, at the helm of ALTA, comes with over twenty years of passion in the industry. A Michelin Star studded resume, Olive Oil Sommelier Certification, advanced knowledge of wild edibles, and a lifetime of gathering around the fire; O’Connor is Californian to the core. Born and raised in the Sierra Foothills, O’Connor has been cooking, camping, and making wine with his family since childhood.
Splitting his time between Chile and California, O’Connor marks travel and the outdoors as his greatest inspirations. An undying passion for hospitality, history, food, wine, and human connection is woven together with a thread of authenticity.
